Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE MORROW (nee BURNHAM) Peacefully, on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Tuxedo Villa, with her family by her side, Joyce, beloved wife of Jack, passed away at the age of 76. Joyce was predeceased by her mother Ruby, her father James Burnham, and her brother Dick Burnham. She is remembered by her sons, Brent (Shelley) and Scott (Janet), daughter Leigh Frank (Jeff) and grandchildren Madison, Morgan, Taylor, Jonathan, Rileigh and Holden. Joyce is also survived by her brother Bob (Doreen) Burnham, sister Dianne (Tony) Galbecka of Winnipeg, sister Faye Barrette of Courtice, ON, and brother-in-law bLorne (Ferne) Morrow of Pilot Mound. Joyce was born in Glenboro, MB. Her school days were spent in St. James where she attended Brittania, Assiniboine, Linwood Schools, and later, St. James Collegiate. Joyce and Jack were married at St. James United Church on August 3, 1957. They started married life in River Heights and moved to Charleswood in 1960. Joyce and Jack were long time Charleswood residents, where they were involved in the family real estate business for many years. Their latter years were spent in St. Francois Xavier and they also enjoyed many winters with friends in Mesa, AZ. Joyce enjoyed team sports and track and field in her younger years. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School, curling, softball and golfing. Joyce was an avid supporter of her children's sports endeavors. A perfect day for Joyce would involve a nice summer day with her grandchildren enjoying a warm breeze while puttering in her garden followed by an 11:00 p.m. bake-off. Joyce was blessed with a core group of lifelong friends who were there in good times and bad. They enjoyed many an outing over the years lunching and laughing. A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at Chapel Lawn at 4000 Portage Ave. on Saturday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to thank to thank Dr. Joshua at the Grace Hospital and the Nurses and Health Care Aides in Unit 3 at the Tuxedo Villa for their care and compassion.
